Raspberry Beet Smoothie Bowl

RASPBERRY BEETROOT SMOOTHIE BOWL

Simple ingredients, yet powerful results! This smoothie is similar to the Supper Berry Beet Smoothie, but I’ve added different types or berries and swapped veggies. It does make an awesome smoothie bowl!

It’s fantastic eaten with a spoon, but if you want a more liquid version, add a wee bit more water to adjust to your liking.

Why you must try this smoothie

  • low in sugars (berries and apple are one of the ‘skinniest’ packed with fiber fruit!)
  • portion of mighty broccoli in there, yet you can’t taste it!
  • taste and color are unbeatable
  • rich in fiber, thanks to raspberries and apple
  • nice protein boost, thanks to chia and bee pollen

Ingredients

1 cup frozen raspberries

3 large broccoli florets (around 2/3 cup)

1/4 apple, chopped

1/4 avocado

1.5 tbsp beetroot powder (I use this one by Buy Whole Foods Online)

1/2 tbsp bee pollen

1 tbsp chia seeds

3/4 – 1 cup of cold water or plant based milk (or sub half of it for creamy yoghurt of choice)

Suggested toppings: berries, crunchy apple chunks, nuts, toasted coconut flakes, granola

Method

Simply add all ingredients into a blender. Start with adding 3/4 cup of water, and keep adding more depending on your liking. Enjoy with a spoon, as a meal or healthy dessert!
