MORINGA MOCHA DRINK
If you’ve not heard about moringa powder yet, get on that knowledge wagon and read up on some of the amazing benefits! This Mocha drink is perfect for when you don’t want to taste the moringa so much, but still reap the benefits.
I find that adding cacao masks the moringa taste nicely (and of course adds extra powerful antioxidants and minerals) which sneakily creates a whole new drink! It’s perfect as the 3pm coffee-free energy booster.
I suggest that you also try the original adaptogenic Moringa Latte first to get familiar with the taste first; then jump on back here and make this lush, thicker mocha drink!
Serving: makes 1 small cup.
Ingredients
½ cup of oat milk (120ml)
1/3 cup water (80ml)
1.5 tsp moringa powder (or 1/2 tsp using if for the first time)
½ heaped tbsp raw cacao powder
1/2- 1 tsp maple syrup (or honey if not vegan)
¼ tsp coconut or MCT oil
Method
Put all into a blender and whizz for 5-10 seconds until well combined. You want to see the froth and for the powder to mix well.
Alternatively, add all the ingredients into a small pot, whisk with egg whisk and heat up until just before boiling or until you see some froth/ bubbles (great method if you need to keep the noise down). Pour it into a mug or a tea cup and enjoy warm.
